more. Firelight Fridays is a great option for you and your family to get outside and have a great time in the fall. Winter Camp 2012
In February at Winter Camp as we learn more about spiritual
gifts we will be taking some time to watch a short Veggie Tales movie called
Lord of The Beans. We will be discussing
the movie and how it applies afterwards.
This tale follows a “flobbit” who is gifted a magical bean and we see
how he uses it responsibly. This fits in
with our theme well and hopefully will start some good discussions.
Winter Camp will be here before you know it and the price is
only $68, so don’t forget to reserve your spot now! Click here to see the Winter Camp Webpage. Online registration is coming soon!
A Week of Volunteerism
The week following the tenth anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Centers in New York, Geneva Hills had over 100 volunteers provide over 400 total hours of work. Starting on Tuesday, Geneva Hills once again participated in the United Way's Community Care Day. Over 40 volunteers from high school students to community professionals came to Geneva Hills to help with fall preparations, general beautification, and to begin work on our new "Celebration of Life" Memorial Garden.
The week of volunteers continued with elementary students from Central College Christian Academy in Westerville, OH, who also helped with the memorial garden amongst many other projects. Finally, on Saturday, the AP chemistry classes from Westerville South completed the work for the week by transporting firewood, moving building materials, cleaning up work stations, and improving the maintenance areas. A Big thank you to all the volunteers who made the week successful.
