Upcoming canning class

Stawberry-Preserves-FinishedJoin us for our first canning class of the year. Here we will teach you how to start canning jams and jellies safely. Leave with a jar of what you canned and gift it to the special woman in your life just in time for Mother's Day! A donation of $5 is suggested to cover the cost of supplies. Kilbourn project days

P1060345Kilbourn Gardens will be hosting project days every Saturday in May from 10:00AM - 2:00PM. Come on out to GWM's largest garden, located at 617 E. North Ave, and get your hands dirty! Volunteers can park around back at the crossing of Booth and Garfield. Email Jan at to confirm your attendance!

New farmers market

vegetablesGWM is excited to be involved with a new farmers market that will be located at Clinton Rose Senior Center on M.L.K. Drive. The Harambee Community Market will take place every Saturday from 12:00PM - 4:00PM starting June 18th. The market will feature fresh produce, prepared foods, crafts, and cultural entertainment. Introducing GWM's newest program

This program will make use of GPS/GIS technologies when working with residents and allow GWM to record and map geospatial data. This is a unique community-led effort that produces 'bottom-up' information representative of the local knowledge and aspirations of our community partners.
