Ride Your to SMART Groundbreaking!

SCBC Provides Valet Bike Parking
We've all worked so hard to make it happen... let's celebrate!
SMART is holding a groundbreaking celebration on Friday, February
24th, 10:30 a.m. at the future SMART Station at the Petaluma Depot.
Ride your bike there and join SCBC to celebrate the pathway and
train. If you'd like to join a ride from SCBC's office in Santa Rosa,

SMART is making tons of progress; let's show how excited the bicycling community is about the pathway!

Roads Summit -- March 7th
Weigh in/get up-to-date on SoCo Roads
Roads Summit with Phil Demery, Sonoma County Director of Transportation and Public Works
Phil Demery will discuss the condition of county roads and the
challenges of funding the repairs that need to be done. He will also address the
future of county roads, including the Board of Supervisors' policy to
preserve the pavement of 218 miles of the 1,384 miles of county
roads.
As cyclists, we're all concerned about what's happening to our roads; don't miss this
presentation and discussion hosted by SOSroads.org.
TIME and PLACE:
5:00 PM - 6:30 pm, - March 7, 2012
Sally Tomatoes Restaurant, the Board Room
Sonoma Mountain Village (the old Agilent building complex in Rohnert Park)
Cost: Free (although a $10 donation will be appreciated)

Ride with Team BikeSonoma!
Join Climate Ride CA Team BikeSonoma for an epic 5-day, 320 mile ride from Eureka to San Francisco. Already 1/3 of the spots are full, so please register today. It is an amazing journey. Starts March 9th. or... Ride with Team BikeSonoma with Wine Country Cyclery (and Team Garmin!) in the Sonoma/Napa Echelon GranFondo. For this ride, choose a climby 75-mile route, a moderate 50-mile route, or a family-friendly 11 mile-route. or... Do both! Both rides are fabulous opportunities to enjoy gorgeous rides while raising funds to support your local bicycle advocacy and education organization (SCBC, of course!). Don't worry if you feel a little intimidated by the fundraising. We'll provide training for all Team BikeSonoma members. If you're intimidated about the riding, we'll be organizing training rides, so that won't be a problem either.
