Team captains, visit the registration website to form your team and then register for the ride. Once you're signed up, start recruiting. It's more fun to ride together! SCBC is looking for an enthusiastic energized member to serve on our Board of Directors!

Do you have a burning passion to transform Sonoma County into the best place to ride? As a member of our Board of Directors you will work closely with our awesome staff to grow our membership, establish our advocacy goals and policy, cultivate sponsors, and help SCBC to become the most effective bicycle advocacy organization in California.

These are big shoes to fill, and Board members are expected to:

•Attend and participate in monthly Board meetings and be willing to serve on at least one Board subcommittee.

•Be available to volunteer at SCBC events.

•Recruit new members and help retain existing ones.

•Help communicate and promote SCBC's advocacy and programs to the community.

•Understand SCBC's finances, budget, Strategic Plan and Bylaws.

•Enjoy fundraising, or, if you are afraid, you love to conquer your fears.

If you are interested, please send a concise but compelling cover letter no later than Friday, April 12 to Gary Helfrich, our Executive Director, at gary@bikesonoma.org

Looking for a way to increase moral at work?

Team Bike Challenge kicks off May 1st!

Gather your friends, colleagues, and neighbors to form teams and pedal to win. It's a fun and easy way to see just how much biking does for your health, budget, and environment.

How it Works:

•Form a team of 2—5 people.

•Sign up your team at www.teambikechallenge.com

•Earn points for each bike ride you take and your total daily mileage.

•Record your bike trips on our website or mobile site.

•Compete with friends on your personalized Leaderboard.

•The team with the most points wins!

Prizes:

Every member of the top scoring team will get a bike themed prize (valued over $50)

Oh no! Is your business is too big to fit into one team? Never fear, sign up for Company Bike Challenge and compete against similarly sized companies.

Last year, Team Bike Challenge had 4,425 individuals registered on 664 teams, with 245 companies competing. Together they biked a total of 701,710 miles.
