 The Sonoma County Bicycle Expo
has always been a family-friendly event. This year, Sonoma County
Bicycle Coalition's Safe Routes to School Program is able to offer some
great activities for children!
Be sure your kids have their bikes at the Expo so they can have fun
learning to be better riders on a great bicycle skills course. And if
your child needs a helmet, Safe Routes to School will be offering
low-cost helmets for kids.
The kids' area is open from 10 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and is located at the east end of the parking lot.
Check out the final vendor list!
An array of bicycle and bicycle-themed vendors makes the Sonoma County Bicycle Expo your destination for all things bike! www.bikesonoma.org/vendors

Calfee Design solo-builds an amazing bamboo-frame!
Paragon Machine Works donates all components.
Not only do you get to stand witness to this unique spectacle... you have an opportunity to WIN one of these bikes! Here's how it works (pay close attention):
Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition will pre-sell raffle tickets for these bikes. How to purchase tickets:
- Call our office at 707-545-0153 Thursday or Friday during regular business hours. You will need to pay by credit card (Visa or
Mastercard)
- Visit our booth at the Annadel Mountain Bike Race on Saturday, August 18th in the Oak Knolls parking area of Spring Lake Regional Park -- 10:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- At the Expo site (2nd & E Street in Downtown Santa Rosa) on the
morning of the Expo (August 19th) between 8:00 a.m. - 10 a.m.
The two winning tickets (one bamboo bike, one steel bike)
will be drawn at 10:30 a.m. at the Sonoma County Bicycle Expo on Sunday,
August 19th at 2nd & E Street in Santa Rosa. You must be present to win because these bikes are CUSTOM and you will need to be measured (and anyway, don't you want to see your bike being built??)
Raffle tickets are:
1 ticket for $5 3 tickets for $10 8 tickets for $20
This raffle is a benefit for Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition, working to make Sonoma County a safe and accessible place for everyone to ride a bike.

Volunteer at the Sonoma County Bicycle Expo!
We still need to fill a few volunteer shifts!
Our volunteer shifts are opportunities
for fun, and we'll reward you with lunch from Whole Foods Market, as
well as beer from New Belgium Brewing. Work two shifts, and we'll throw
in one of our "Simple Solution" t-shirts in our brand-new shades-of-blue
color scheme (yes, there are ladies sizes).
Can you give a few hours to the Expo? Please take a look at our list of needs at www.bikesonoma.org/expovolunteers, and contact Sandra Lupien
(Sandra@BikeSonoma.org or 707-545-0153) to sign up.
Be a part of creating a fine celebration of bicycles!
Now in its third year, the Sonoma County Bicycle Expo on
Sunday, August 19th, continues its tradition of featuring the talents
of local musicians. Based on feedback from you, from vendors, and from
the musicians themselves, we're changing up the format this year...
rather than featuring a central, amplified music stage, our Expo
performers will unplug and play street musician style in locations
throughout the venue.
Returning to the Expo this year, look for Earstu, Catfish Jack & Maria Vilaboy, and three separate acts from the Santa Rosa Charter School Rockers.
New to the Expo are Eight Belles, and Eliot Fintushel with his theremin.
In true busker tradition, the musicians play for tips, so please show
your gratitude with your dollars. Some acts will sell CDs, so seize
your chance to support local music and pick up some new tunes.
Thanks to the musicians for helping to create a fabulous atmosphere at the Sonoma County Bicycle Expo. Link to my website
Only at the Sonoma County Bicycle Expo!
Gather on 2nd Street at E Street at 8:00 a.m. for complimentary coffee and breakfast treats by Cafe Gaga and Whole Foods Market, respectively. Join a mellow, family-friendly, 10 mile ride about Santa Rosa with your neighbors, friends, and elected leaders. Return to the Expo site as the event is getting underway. No better way to start the day! SCBC Board President Tom Helm leads the ride.
