2011 Early Child Care Education Conference

Special thanks to the almost 200 child care providers who attended the 2011 Early Child Care Education Conference on December 10.  The conference featured workshops by presenters from Parenting Playgroup, National Children's Museum, Air and Space Museum, Virginia Infant and Toddler Specialist Network, Inova Fair Oaks Hopsital, Women's Business Center of Northern Virginia, Folger Nolan Fleming Douglas Inc., and Carol Dacey, CPA.  We'll be sharing more tidbits and feedback from the conference in later issues.

A Look Back at 2011 - It has been an exciting year for ITFDC.  Here is a quick look back: 

Graduation -  Six of our providers received their CDA certification and two received their Infant Toddler Professional Development Certificate.

Fun Times - 2011 Picnic - A good time was enjoyed by all at Frying Pan Park; Pumpkin Patch - We visited the Burke Nursery Pumpkin Playground.

Happy Retirement to Ileene Hoffman - our Executive Director for the past 28 years retired in June. 

Grants - ITFDC is grateful to receive grants from Walmart and The Morris and Gwendlyn Cafriz Foundation.
