Granny Bin's October-November Newsetter
Greetings {FIRST_NAME}
A few weeks ago, I took you down the Yellow Brick Road, which ran right smack into the Yellow Brick wall. If you didn’t read it or you need to refresh your mind, please Click here to review the article.
Much was learned when I hit the wall and much has been accomplished since then. To date, we have placed ten (10) of our twelve (12) families in homes. Eight homes were rented for two years for each family and for two families we paid the costs to repair their homes. received finacial assistance ranging from $500 to $1000. Unfortunately, two families are no longer eligible because of unscrupulous acts. That kinda thing happens and you just have to deal with it and keep on moving.
We have taken positive action….NOW, not a few weeks from now but NOW and all families are now living in save and secure homes.
Where do we go from here? Well, I have on my agenda to still BUILD homes for these families. I believe that God has allowed me an extension in order to be able to raise the necessary funds to build, to finish completing our legalization of Kreyol for Parents (which I am happy to say is almost done);and, to have the time to do what has to be done in an orderly and efficient manner. Before closing this topic, I want to thank all of you who reponseded to the Yellow Brick Wall in a very human and supportive manner. You encouraged me and let me know that even the best planned project oftentimes has to be "tweaked". Oh Yeah! One friend said this is a case when you've been tossed a lemon, you make lemonade (HA! HA!...love that). Am I drinking lemonade? You betcha!
On another note, it seems that most of you really don’t know all that goes on in this ministry; therefore, in this newsletter I want to share with you some of our other activities and accomplishments. Hopefully, you will understand why I keep saying...I am so busy, my workoad is tremendous, I got 6 months backlog, etc. Honestly, I sometimes feel overwhelmed; but, in the end, I am reminded of "Footprints in the Sand", i,e., I realize that Jesus is in the front and I am just following His footprints. Basically, the work is centered around the list of activities bulleted below. When you finish reading the list, I will tell you something about each one. (not necessarily in the order listed):

Our Community (Receives Long Awaited Medical Help!!)
A three day health clinic for Ages 40 plus and a one Day Clinic for children of the Foundation Vierge Orphanage (FVO). The medical team was s ponsored by Lisa Nelson, Eagle Rock Christian Center, Illionois.& headed by team leader Robin Rose. The Group consisted of 9 women & 1 man committed to a one week stay. The Clinic was held on the premises of FVO, Mr and Mrs. Gelin who provided everything needed for the clinic to function smoothly. They had time to leave Haiti before Hurricane Tomas but they called and prayed for this country and for me by telephone. What a show or love....

More than 400 senior community members & children were recipients of basic medical care and given medicenes as appropriate. Praise & worship touched many of the recipients and many of them gave their lives to Jesus Christ!......Nothing is as curing as Spritual Medicine administered by Loving Hearts.
Granny Bin’s Adoption Progress Reports (GBAPRS)
Nineteen (10) of 19 children living at the Orphanage “PAC” (director Marie France) community of les Cayes have completed all their documents and are now in the arms of their forever parents in France. During the process, KFPH links with the waiting parents by sending a monthly GBAPR which is a photograph album containing beautiful pictures of the child as well as encouraging phrases and the child's measurements. KFP Office administrator and office photographer visit Les Cayes and take more than 400 pictures. We pray that the 9 waiting won’t have much longer to wait.
We are hoping that our services will continue to be a blesings to those parents having to wait the completion of the adoption process. Need some information about this service...visit our website and click on the GBAPR link. Click on our name at the top of this Newsletter.

I am reminded of a Washington D. C., restaurant that I ate at many years ago (forgot the name). When you left the restaurant through the revolving doors, there was a sign that read "Some of God's Finest People Pass these Doors". I feel the same way and therefore I am adopting that sign for our Guest home.
KFPH Legalization Status
We only have one more document that will come from the Ministry of Interior. After that approval, we head on to the Ministry ot Finance. You need to know that because of the Cholera Outbreak, every Ministry office is actively busy finding solutions and all regular daily matters such as legalization are now on the back burner....While the wait goes on, we are nearing the finish line and it has been a long and hard race to finish..
"Little is really BIG!"
I had an eye awakening revelation a couple of weeks ago. It came to be that while my heart was in the right place, m logic was not. I often wanted to donate to those I felt strongly about but never seemed to do it. Several reasons, one I was always telling myself that my little donation was too small to make a difference. The other reason I told myself was how could I afford to donate when I am in need myself to run this organization. Ohhhh Granny Bin, ye of little faith!
Well, I was wrong and I decided to do something about it. I choose an organization that had been on my mind and made my donation and I thought.there is no amount too small if it comes from the heart. Do you know that $1 US dollar is equal to almost $8 Haitian dollars. Sow where your heart tells you to and watch how God can multiply what you give.
This message is not about me but ALL of US! All the work that we do is linked together. Our need and our desire to give is at God’s own perfect timing…so when He tells you to give, I sugget that you give with the ultimate goal of pleasing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and Our Father in Heaven!
Testimony: Just this Saturday, Nov. 20th while doing my volunteer shift at AGAPE, I checked my mail box to find that I had received a letter from a friend. An unexpected letter! When I opened it, I found that I had been blessed with 4 times the amount that I had given a few weeks ago. Yeah..I focused & cried and my heart & soul was touched. It wasn’t just the money that touched me but how God allows us to see how powerful He really is. How he gave me the sharing message and then the experience to document it with a personal testimony. How Great is Our God? Beyond what we could ever begin to express in words; yet, enough to allow us to glorify Him.
And all God’s children that read this say AMEN!
Special Project Activities Mostly Sponsored by Adopting Parents
These activities are special projects that are financed by parents of adopted Haitian children. The projects are for helping the biological families of their adoptive child(ren). Many parents continue to help the families in diverse ways such financing school for the siblings of their adopted child. In addition we have two mothers that have been able to return to school to get their education. De ntures have been paid for a mother who was too shy to smile and could not eat well (See smiling mom to the right). Homes are rented and or purchased and small business are put in place for famlies to have a better life. One home that suffered serious house damage was finally repaired.
KFPH does searches in order that pictures and gifts can be share with the families. In most cases we deliver the package or arrange to have the family meet the person bringing the gift. We are indeed the link between adopting parents and their bio Haitian Families.

Meet the KFPH Staff....
I tell you, I am all fired up. I have just been blessed with a helper that I have been praying for (and so have many of you). Thank you and all the glory to God!. We had our first staff meeting yesterday and to honor and thank God, we are starting our work with morning devotions. What better way to show God appreciation. Left to right: Abraham(Office Administrator), Erick (Office Housekeeper & Photographer, and Jean Mary (Office Assistant/ Manager). Actually we all interact with our duties. We are ALL Jack of all trades and masters of none.
We aso decided that every month (or at least every other month) beginning in January 2011, we will give ONE full day visit to a hospital where we will bring with us play kits and or toiletry kits to distribute to the patients. It is our desire to pass on the blessings to others and share the gospel.
Saying all this, we are going to need your donations of in-kind goods (soap, toothpaste, combs, small toys for children, etc.) as well as FUNDS! Don't forget a little goes a long way in Haiti. Visit our website at www.grannybin-kfp.com and click on the tab Donations-Shipments to get infomation on how to send donations and in-kind goods. REMEMBER, you must pay for ALL shipping and customs fees because we just don't have the money to pay for your gifts.
