Members Only Event Recap/News

Dear FGI Members:

While several of our members were at High Point reporting back to us, the remainder of them were enjoying a lovely evening during our Members Only event at Magar Hatworks on November 20th.  We tell you a little more about that in our FGI Members Only Event Recap/Member News section.

And speaking of Events, we will close out the year with a not-to-miss Retail Event on December 1st hosted by retail guru, Robin Lewis.  Mr. Lewis will share with us his insights on “The New Rules Of Retail, Competing In The World’s Toughest Marketplace”.  He has advised top retail companies and consumer facing businesses to success for the past several decades.  His client A-List includes: Kohl’s, Ralph Lauren, JC Penney, Estee Lauder and The National Retail Federation just to name a few.  He will share the formula to move your business to ultimate success given the unprecedented shift of power to consumers.  More details on this event can be found in our FGI 2011 Retail Event section.

On the new member front, we would like to welcome two new members: Gail Salomon, Co-Owner of Mission Essentials from the beauty industry and Jeff Drew, CEO/Publisher of Gulf Stream Communications from the media industry.

In closing, as we get ready to wrap up our FGI 2011 year as a provisional region, we will be getting ready for our first year as a full-fledged region since we have successfully met our licensing criteria!  Congratulations to our founding board and members –each of you has contributed to the success of Charleston’s FGI Region.  Several of you have come forward to get more involved and we will be voting on our 2012 Board of Directors as well as creating new positions as we grow in 2012.

Please continue to let us know how we can help your business, what news you would like to share with your fellow FGI members and what you would like to see more of (or less of) from your organization.

Fashionably yours,

Rosanna Krekel
