Hello! It's been a hot summer as usual here in Phoenix and I'm looking forward to the fall weather. Since my last newsletter, we've adopted another kitty, Simber, to be a playmate for our first kitty, Captain.
Simber is rambunctious and Captain is forever scowling about it.
They make a great pair. In other news:
CRYER’S CROSS We’re five months away from the release of my next teen paranormal novel, CRYER’S CROSS.  It’s creepy with a love story – what could be better? Read all about it on my website and mark your calendars for the big release date, February 8. I’ll be touring with this one too, so see the Demand It! feature below if you want me to visit your nearest big city.
MOVIE NEWS If you haven’t heard, Paramount/MTV Films has optioned the movie rights to the WAKE trilogy. Woo hoo! While this doesn’t ensure a movie will be made, it’s still lots of fun to think about. Christopher Landon is working on writing the script right now (he co-wrote the awesome thriller DISTURBIA starring Shia LaBeouf) and I’m so excited – I’m sure he will make it great! Miley Cyrus is in talks with Paramount to star in the movie. Nothing is certain at this point (and I do not have any say in casting – authors never do! So for you actors out there, I have no idea who you contact – watch for Paramount casting calls, I assume). I will keep you posted via my blog if I get any more exciting movie updates!
