WHO ARE YOUR [HOF] TRAINERS?
 Shawn and Nicole. Two trainers with one goal....your safety! We have a blast training people, but to assure your safety, we will ask you a series of questions about your prior fitness level, assess for proper form every step of the way and make sure that each session is a customized session to suit your needs. We not only train you, but we encourage each other by participating in triathlons and marathons together, and continue to keep abreast of the trends in the fitness industry and keep you informed.
What do we do when we're not training? One of us is a senior surgical vet technician and the other does oncology research for the government. Take a guess.....

[HOF] RUNNING FOR A CAUSE - TRAILFIGHT 5K
Hardbody Outdoor Fitness was one of the sponsors for the TRAILFIGHT 5K on July 17, 2010.  Members of the HOF Team came out and participated to benefit the Ulman Cancer Fund. For some members, it was their first 5K and others beat their own PRs (personal records) from previously raced 5Ks. This race was put on by the TEAMFIGHT Triathlon coaches; Mike Lombardo and Danny & Suzy Serpico. Shawn is a member of TEAMFIGHT, a non-profit organization aimed to train athletes for endurance races (triathlons specifically) along with fundraising for the Ulman Cancer Center benefitting young adults with cancer. We're coached by one of the best; Suzy Serpico. Read more about the Ulman Cancer Fund and families that receive these funds.
GETTING READY FOR AFLAC IRONGIRL
 There will be 4 members from the HOF team who will become IronGirls this summer. Each member has a unique story and used the fitness training for HOF to help with their initial weight-loss, endurance and overall maintenance. Swim training, brick workouts (run/bike/run workouts) and encouragement go a long way when doing your first triathlon. Make sure to check the HOF website for an update on Julie, Lisa, Sharon (pictured above) and Nadia's (picture below) experience, as they participate in IronGirl triathlon on August 22nd. The soon-to-be IronGirls participated in a Dress Rehearsal and took the plunge in Centennial Park Lake in Columbia. Over 850 IronGirls showed up. After the swim, many rode the IronGirl course and ran around Centennial Park (including Gatorade Hill). Swim - .62 miles Bike - 17.5 miles Run - 3.4 miles Gatorade Hill - Priceless

WORKING ON LABOR DAY
 Technically we're not!! Come out to the FREE park workout at 8AM. Time to start the Labor Day with a little labor.

ROUND #4 EVENING SESSION - 8/17 to 9/23
As mentioned above, we went 18 weeks straight and had a great time. Each class was structured around a variety of focal points; strength, flexibility, balance, speed, endurance, agility, rehabilitation and  recovery. Those who participate in the evenings have an added bonus to attend the morning class FREE during their 6-weeks. That's a total of 6 classes/week or 36 classes in 6 weeks. Not bad!!!

WHAT'S GOING ON IN THE FALL?
The summer is not over. [HOF] will be represented at the following events. We're either participating or volunteering, so keep an eye out for one of us from the team. We train hard...but put that training to the test. From 5ks to Ultra events..we have fun!! This could be your first time exercising or even thinking about an event. You're not alone, so consider this program, the best step you could take in seeing the new you.
