We're pleased to report that the water level has receded and ASCTC is open with groomed trails this afternoon. The Chuck Lyda Memorial Biathlon is an annual event honoring the late National Guard soldier and his legacy. Lyda, who was a dedicated member of the Auburn Ski Club family and the Training Center's first Nordic Director, was also an Olympic and world champion kayaker, an Army veteran and an accomplished Biathlete.
Weekend Race Format:
Sprint Race - Sat., Feb 11th*
Pursuit - Sun., Feb 12th
Please note that Saturday's race start will be delayed by 2 hours! These are the new times:
10-11am: Bib pick-up
10:45 am: Rifle Check
11-11:45 am: Zero
12 noon: Pro race start
1 pm: Mandatory novice and youth race briefing with novice race start immediately following.
On Feb. 19, ASCTC will open up trails for the FatDuro Fat Bike race. Learn all about the race here! Stay tuned for next week's eblast. We'll outline trail use plans that will allow for plenty of skiing around the Fat Bike racers.
