Annual Studio Art Party in the heart of Spenard - Saturday August 7th!!!

Hello faithful and philanthropic patrons of local music and the arts! I have a VERY special event that I'd like to invite all of you to.

TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BRING A POCKET FULL OF SUNSHINE! OR TWO! Come watch great music, see great art, and sponsor great artists at the Annual Studio Party !

I'll be there doing sound all day acting as the music coop (Alaska Musician Venue Partnership (M.V.P.)) with Jeremy Wetherell from the Shy Bones band.

Come on down to the beating heart of the spenard art scene tomorrow Saturday August 7th. Starting at 4pm going all night long. Launch melons at the "Spenard Vortex" from the giant Trebuchet.

...oh and ride a bike if you can! it's going to be a bit crammed for parking.

It's Free!!! So bring your wallet and your (own) checkbook.
The Annual Studio Party BBQ is a Zero-Waste Microgranting Event. It is part Musicfest, part Art Show, part Block Party. The Annual Studio Party is for all kinds and all ages. And every so often we even raise some money for some individual artists who are working on a worthy art project.

And in other news... kids and community recording studios

Your local music cooperative is proud to share that it has now signed the paperwork to start staffing the Mt. View Boys and Girls Club community recording studio!

We'll be offering the B&GC members the experience of making music in a professional studio in exchange for the coop's use of the studio in return.

Music Coop members get the benefit of reduced recording rates or can trade volunteer hours at the B&G Club for recording time.

Contact the MVP Music Coop for more details about how to help.

Follow us on Facebook to keep up with what we're getting into.
