Dear GCC members, supporters and friends:

In December 2009, three swans were senselessly shot in the Lac du Bois grasslands; to this date, no one has been charged.

Local artist Wayne Broomfield painted a moving image of the three majestic Trumpeter Swans, and generously donated the painting to the Grasslands Conservation Council of BC (GCC).

The GCC is raffling off this gorgeous oil painting, measuring 24" x 35" to raise money for education and awareness of our rare and endangered grasslands and the beautiful wildlife that live within them.

Only 400 tickets are being sold at $25 per ticket.

Tickets can be purchased by coming into the GCC office at 954A Laval Crescent, Monday to Thursday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm (closed for lunch), or phone in your purchase with a credit card to 250-374-5787 extension 201. The draw will take place on September 3, 2010.

The winner's names will be published on the GCC website on September 3, 2010, at 10am.

Tickets may be sold and purchased only in British Columbia. GCC employees are not permitted to purchase tickets.
