Announcing MSDN's New Channels
First off, what is a Channel?
Don't worry, you're not alone in asking that question. A channel consists of pages specific to a certain topic. If an advertiser targets that specific channel, ads will only run on those pages. For example, the SharePoint channel consists of pages primarily associated with SharePoint, so an advertiser looking to reach that audience would then target that channel.
