Calling All Shower Singers!
15 March 2014, 7 PM
The Lyric Theatre
59 SW Flagler Avenue
Stuart, FL 34994
Or car singers... or karaoke enthusiasts.... Do you have a pretty good voice and always wished you could sing on stage? Well, Singing with the Stars is a brand new event you might be interested in! Artists for a Cause, with help from The Firefly Group, is looking for a few brave souls who are willing to sing at the Lyric for this fundraiser. Let us know if you, or someone you know, is a closet singer.
This inaugural fund-raising event will provide an entertaining evening of competitive singing, with professional singers paired with amateurs. Artists for a Cause will also include another excellent nonprofit, Keep Martin Beautiful, as a partial beneficiary of the proceeds of the event.
“Every performer loves to be on stage,” said Terry. We thought this new event would be a great way to connect with talented individuals in Martin County who have a love of singing but have spent their time singing in their cars or showers but never had the thrill of being on a real stage performing in front of a live crowd.”
Amateur singers will be chosen through an open application process.
Anyone interested in participating is asked to complete a simple application form to provide us with information about their background and interests. We will use this information to help us evaluate our pool of potential stars. Please return your completed application either by scanning and emailing, faxing, regular postal mail or hand delivery by Wednesday, January 22, 2014.
