Since 2011, WWF’s Earth Hour City Challenge (EHCC) has called on local governments to demonstrate their climate leadership and ambition. This year, under the theme “Bridging the Gap”, cities and towns in 20 countries have the opportunity to report their inspiring climate commitments, performance and actions.

ICLEI leads the Global 100% Renewable Energy Cities and Regions Network

During the next two years, ICLEI will Chair the Steering Group that coordinates the 100% Renewable Energy (RE) Cities and Regions Network, leading an inclusive and cooperative effort between the city and region networks that are partners to the Global 100% RE Campaign to develop an annual work program and monitor progress and impacts.

TAP Review Panel meets for the first time in Paris

Comprised of representatives of TAP partners, including NGOs, funding bodies, development institutions and others, the Review Panel is entrusted to select the final TAP projects from the over 120 project applications received this year.
