Spotlight on Student Fiber Trends 2014 opened last night - a wonderful evening that included two galleries with filled with amazing fiber art, an installation by Glen Kaufman with music and dance, and even Ice Shelf, a mobile art gallery, right outside the door.  If you couldn't make it last night, the exhibition will be up through June 29th and is well worth a visit.  The Lamar Dodd School of Art Galleries are open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.

We're very proud of our award winners!  We're also very proud of all of our entrants - those accepted and those not.  As our awards juror, Ray Pierotti, mentioned last night, it takes courage to put your artistic efforts forward in the public arena.

Ray also said "It is clear that the fiber arts are alive and thriving among this generation of student artists."  You can easily see this is true from the photos above, but seeing the exhibition in person will really drive home the point. Don't miss it!
