In this time of new starts, we hope you are inspired to get involved with the variety of oikos projects. If you are interested in global value chains, consider applying for the Model WTO. This year's oikos first Young Scholars Academy focuses on renewable energy, while the oikos Case Quarterly looks at the sustainability of food production. If you are an oikos Alum, feel free to join us at the debates on energy and sustainability in Zurich. Last but not least, don't forget to apply for the Winter School and the Spring Meeting (deadlines: January 15)! The oikos Young Scholars Energy Academy 2014 provides an intense 4-days academic platform for identifying and advancing relevant and rigorous research aiming at increasing energy efficiency and renewables to reduce carbon and nuclear risk and reliance on energy imports.
