October will be an exciting month for oikos - full of new ideas, challenges, and acquaintanceships. On 19th October we will kick off the oikos LEAP Meeting in Leysin, Switzerland. The week-long meeting will host over 65 oikos members, alumni, and partners from different parts of the world. On October 26, oikos community will gather at the FutureLab 2018 to discuss opportunities for building lasting change in the world and in our classrooms.
In this edition of our newsletter, let us introduce our new Curriculum Project designed to allow students to advocate for a better economics and management education. We also tell you about the LEAP Webinar that focused on the importance of facilitation. We are proud to share news about our chapters and their activities. Further, you can meet Johanna Zimmermann, a board member at oikos Copenhagen who leads curriculum projects at this chapter.

Curriculum Project
At oikos, we want to transform economics and management curricula for a sustainable world. To help member groups work towards local change we are launching the oikos Curriculum Project. The Project will kick off with a workshop at the FutureLab called "Building a Better Curriculum" that is designed to get oikees to think through the purpose of their education, and dream up new ways to teach economics and management.

LEAP webinar on Facilitation
On October 8, 2018, oikos LEAP hosted the very first webinar for its new 2018/2019 cohort. This open webinar focused on the art of facilitation and featured Hannah Meirelles, an international trainer, and development facilitator. She talked about the role and responsibilities of a facilitator and discussed the essential skills and tools required for facilitation.

Copenhagen: Integrated Project
oikos Copenhagen has introduced an exciting new Integrated Project that provides students with an opportunity to work on practical sustainability challenges and solve real-life cases on some of the world’s social and environmental issues along with sustainability players in the Copenhagen area.

St.Gallen: Busy Month
September was a busy month in oikos St. Gallen. Their monthly project oikos&Pizza featured Credit Suisse and focused on the topic of sustainable investments. They also teamed-up with other local student partners for a cleanup event in Rorschach, Switzerland and organized a free Business photo event.
