Book project by oikos Leipzig
Starting from a line of very successful speeches that we had in the last 10 months at Leipzig University, with up to 350 listeners, we are now planing to bring the contents from the lecture hall to the bookstores to share it with the world. The book will take a critical look at the predominant paradigm of economic growth as the promise to wealth for all people. After an analysis of the problematic status quo, the book will make space for alternative ideas, visions and utopias of a better world.

Lead Yourself to Lead Others
“She leads a company. He leads a movement. They lead their lives. Actually, leading is most of the time related to others. When we speak about a leader, we think about someone bringing people together to help them achieve a common goal. Now ask someone “How to lead?”. You will notice that this question does not have one single answer, each one of us understands it differently…”. The LEAP participants of the advanced track 2016/2017 wrote an article summarizing their learning. Read the rest of the article here.

30 Seconds with...
oikos LEAP Participants
“After participating in the LEAP programme, all of us feel really grateful for this opportunity to learn and develop ourselves. Besides learning about ourselves, we also learned so much from and about the others. The most intensive meeting was the second on-site meeting which took place in Hamburg. We felt connected to each other and were very much inspired by this special trustful atmosphere. Not just this meeting was enriching but also all the other parts in sum supported us to gain knowledge and experience about the importance of values, listening, communicating, consciousness and much more.”
LEAP is the leadership programme of oikos. It is designed to inspire young leaders to become more responsible in their decision making and to equip them with insights, knowledge and tools to do so. The advanced track is the most intensive of the three LEAP tracks. It combines individual as well as group learning and it challenges participants to reflect on themselves and their values at any time. All these activities together empower participants to develop their personality and leadership skills which can be directly implemented in oikos projects as well as in everybody’s personal & professional environments. Find more detailed information online.
