Dear Reader,
Summer ends and autumn comes: the bright green fades away being replaced by yellow, orange and red. The nature changes, becomes more colorful and so does oikos. Firstly, oikos Koblenz, a new Chapter in Germany has been opened. Secondly, Lena Hörnlein, a new PhD Fellow, has joined the oikos team. Thirdly, Jordi Vives Gabriel, oikos PhD Fellow, has become a visiting PhD scholar at Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. oikos Spring Meeting 2015 goes to London whereas Anita Negri, a new President of oikos International 2015 & 2016 is coming soon to the oikos office in St. Gallen, Switzerland, to start her handover. What has not changed however, is the anticipation of the greatest annual event in oikos calendar. You may still register for the FutureLab 2014 followed by the oikos Conference and join one of the Learning Circles. Do not miss the chance to meet the great crowd of oikos members, alumni and partners!

New oikos Chapter: oikos Koblenz, Welcome in oikos Family!
We are honoured to announce that oikos Koblenz (Germany) has been accepted as
a new oikos Chapter. After one year of preparations and planning, oikos Koblenz built up a very engaged community of around 30 fellow students based at three different universities in the Koblenz region. On behalf of whole oikos network, we wish oikos Koblenz good luck!

 New oikos Executive Board will be elected during the Legislative Meeting, right before the FutureLab 2014. We are looking for expert strategists who are passionate about changing the world. Yannic Steffan
Dear oikees,
I am Yannic Steffan, alumnus of oikos St Gallen. After organizing oikos & Pizza around 2009, attending several oikos workshops and the Conference, oikos never stopped impacting my path.
Through oikos I became involved with swisscleantech, the Swiss business association of the Green Economy, where I wrote my bachelor thesis. Then oikos introduced me to another employer: Accenture's Sustainability consulting group. At the moment I am pursuing a double Master's degree at the University of Mannheim and NHH in Bergen, Norway. I first heard of the program at the oikos Winter School in Witten.
By now I have found my personal lever to change businesses to the better: sustainability ratings. Their recommendations already influence investments worth billions and they will hopefully incentivize more sustainable business practices through many more investments in the future. Let's hope they will do a good job! I research into sustainability rankings in my Master's thesis - again - it was oikos that impacted my thesis.
The oikos Finance Initiative was a perfect fit and a great place to find peers. When I heard about the corresponding Learning Circle on Finance, joining it was a no-brainer. Members of the Learning Circles study and prepare the corresponding topics for the FutureLab this fall. There is one on Entrepreneurship, Finance, Energy, Leadership, Management, Economics and Supply Chain (Fashion). If you are interested in any of these topics, make sure to join one as I did.
