Parent Forum Meets Tuesday

There will be a Parent Forum on January 24 at 9 a.m. in the Bell School Auditorium. Take advantage of this opportunity to learn what is happening at school. Topics include the proposed full school day, the consequences for mean behavior at Bell, dismissal procedures, and the Bell school expansion project. Read more about Parent Forum meeting.

Congratulations and prosperity to all as we celebrate the Lunar New Year. Bell students will welcome the Chinese Year of the Dragon on Thursday, January 26 with an assembly featuring this Chinese dance group.

Materials from Parent Speaker Night

The materials from Dr. Marcia McEvoy's presentation at Bell in October 2011 are now available online. This presentation helped parents learn how to work collaboratively with schools to reduce mean behavior.

Last-Minute Volunteer Opportunity

Bell's 95th Birthday Celebration is next month! Volunteers are needed to assemble invitations on January 23 at 1:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Previous experience not required! Just show up Monday afternoon ready to wrap. Questions? Contact Tina Lagges. Thanks, and don't forget to line up a sitter for February 25.

LSC Elections

The next Local School Council election is fast approaching. There are six parent positions on the LSC. Nomination forms are available here and in the main office. The deadline for filing these forms is March 8. As this election is run the same as a general election, we are in need of election judges to work the polls that day. There is a $120 stipend for service and judges must attend one training class.
