Hi Reader,
May is always a busy month for events, launches and other activities in the IT world and May 2010 been no exception. We’ve been traveling to a number of events and briefings--along with client ongoing projects and some new work we’ve got underway. Some of the more interesting events we participated in included:
- Pervasive Metamorphosis in San Jose: Laurie was on hand at Pervasive’s tenth Metamorphosis conference. Laurie met with and enjoyed some great conversations with Pervasive execs and partners about how cloud computing will push the integration envelope, and how Pervasive's DataCloud on-demand integration platform will help address these new integration challenges.
- SAP Sapphire in Orlando: Sanjeev headed south for SAP’s annual SAPPHIRE conference, where SAP announced general availability for the revamped multi-tenant version of SAP Business ByDesign. Sanjeev attended several excellent presenations and lively discussion sessions with SME customers using SAP Business ByDesign, Business All-in-One and BusinessObjects solutions.
- Sage Insights in Denver: Laurie met with Sage partners and execs at this event and learned about Sage’s new Connected Services strategy and offerings, and presented What Cloud Computing Means for the Channel. Laurie also joined fellow panelists Ginger Conlon, Editor-In-Chief of 1to1 Media; Amy Cosper, Editor-in-Chief of Entrepreneur Magazine; Wayne Schulz, Sage MAS channel partner and blogger; and moderator Dennis Frahmann, Sage North America's EVP of Marketing, for a dynamic session on Social Media Marketing Opportunity & Impact for SMBs.
Fielding for the 2010 SMB Routes to Market Study begins in mid-June. Thanks to input from out study partner HubSpot and several sponsor clients, we’ve pulled together a great survey that promises to yield fresh perspectives and actionable results about how SMB customers discover, learn about, evaluate and purchase software and service technology solutions.
We have also released a new report, Moving Beyond Excel, Corporate Performance Management for Mid-Market Enterprises, which looks at the challendge mid-market companies face in the corporate performance management area, and how CPM solutions can help address them. The report analyzes seven vendors’ CPM solutions for the mid-market using our new SMB Readiness Grid.
We are always interested in your feedback about the areas and topics you'd like to see us explore. Please contact us at www.smb-gr.com.
Best regards,
Sanjeev Aggarwal, Founder & Partner
