Recreational families,

There will be a Soccer Fair taking place on March 21st to address
options for Fall 2018 team formation. The soccer fair is an
information night hosted by the soccer community at the County Fair
Building, from 6pm-8pm, where recreational players who are
considering a move to a competitive program can find out more
information regarding the costs and commitment level of respective
competitive programs. Parents are invited to compare programs and ask
questions of the representatives. The County Fair Building is at 9th
Ave & Lincoln in Golden Gate Park. The meeting will be held in the
auditorium.

If a player wishes to remain in a recreational program and/or a
current recreational team will stay together, registration can begin
on April 15th and there will be information on the SF Youth Soccer
website regarding registration shortly.

If a recreational player is thinking about competitive soccer. There
are two options for right now:

A recreational player can join a competitive team at their practice.
That can happen after the Soccer Fair, by appointment.
The appointment process will be made available at the Soccer Fair.

Recreational players can attend tryouts. The official competitive
tryout date is the weekend of May 12/13.Information will be made
available once time slots are configured for teams / clubs. Clubs can
make offers starting on May 11th and those players that wish to
transition to competitive program can commit to a club or team
beginning on May 18th.

There is a third option for the whole team:
Teams can choose to stay together and make the transition to
competitive Soccer as one. Teams can stay as an independent team and
should coordinate with SF Youth Soccer to do so.

Teams wishing to follow the third option are invited to attend the
Soccer Fair and represent their team to families. To do so, please
email info@sfyouthsoccer.com by March 16th, 12pm to declare an
