March 2010 In this issue: Every month I will be sharing memories of different moments that will stay with me forever. People have asked me why I do this work, why I founded Unbridled Change, and can working with horses really cause lasting change? In this section of our e-news letter I will be sharing my answers to those questions and let you draw your own conclusions. This moment in time is about a little boy that was about to placed in a residential treatment center at the young age of just 8. The foster family was willing to make one last try - if he could learn to change his behavior, let down the walls he had built, and learn to trust that he could be loved, he could stay with his foster family that had grown to love him and wanted to adopt him. After being through every type of therapy out there the family came to us... |

Enroll in our summer camps/programs between now and May 1st and save big - instead of $50 a day you would pay only $30 a day! Organizations and summer camps can save big as well between now and May 1st - sign-up for our interactive farm days and save $50 on one farm day or $75 off per day if you sign-up for more than one. Global Youth Service Day April 23rd-25th Global Youth Service Day is an annual campaign that celebrates and mobilizes the million of children and youth who improve their communities each day of the year through services and service learning. Unbridled Change is proud to be participating in this year's event with a very special service project on both Friday April 23rd and Saturday April 24th. We have partnered with Rivermont School, an alternative school that serves youth that were no longer able to remain in a "traditional" school setting to help them develop leadership, job, and life skills by helping them serve as peer leaders for the project - building and painting a safety "pony wall" around the perimeter of our indoor arena. We need your help the day of the service project! To learn more about this service project and how to sign up your child or teen to volunteer and help with the installation and painting of the panels on Sat. April 24th from 9-3pm click here. |
