Roache Street Property

As many of you know, TDWM recently purchased an abandoned home in the Riverside neighborhood. The property is located at 1020 Roache Street -- just West of MLK Jr. Street, between 26th and 27th Street.

TDWM has been working in the Riverside neighborhood for several years and has made a commitment to continue serving this neighborhood and its kids.

We understand the importance of establishing a permanent presence in the neighborhood and this house will provide the perfect opportunity to do just that.

Renovations are under way and we are currently in need of financial donations, as well as mission teams and volunteers to help remodel this property. Current needs include: insulation, an electric water heater, an electric furnace, electrical expertise, and plumbing expertise.

Meet Brandon
Brandon Brownlow.jpg Brandon Brownlow has been doing community service with TDWM for the last couple of months. He is 15-years-old and from the Northwest side of Indianapolis. Currently, Brandon is taking classes at Ivy Tech to earn his GED.

While serving with TDWM, Brandon has organized donations, wrapped Christmas gifts for youth in the Riverside neighborhood, and helped with demolition and construction at the Roache Street property. Brandon previously lived in the Riverside neighborhood and actually knew the owners of TDWM's newly acquired property.

We are excited to continue to get to know Brandon as he finishes up his community service hours.

Meet Jon
Jon Mitchell has been volunteering with TDWM for several months. We first met Jon this summer at one of the camps we visit. He is currently attending Ivy Tech and studying for a certificate in welding. He worked for Salvation Army during the Christmas season, but is now looking for a welding position.

Jon actively participates in our weekly Bible studies and serves with TDWM during street outreach each week. He is living at the Roache Street property while helping with demolition and construction.

Jon has recently made the decision to follow Jesus and is attending Indy Metro Chuch downtown. Please keep Jon in your prayers.
