2011 - A Review...
What a year it's been!
I started the year giving private art lessons which were very enjoyable. The student went on and is now producing some excellent work. March saw the start of the opening of the Herne Bay Pier Trust gallery on the seafront, which I have been actively involved with and still am enjoying enjoying.
My first exhibition of the year was with the CT6 Art group in spring. Then came 'IMAGinE' with Ian Woollams - which was well visited and popular.
The Bay Art Gallery celebrated its tenth anniversary this year and the show had around 100 pieces! The Private View evening was wonderful - such a great feeling to see lots of people show us support.
After the CT6 summer exhibition, then came the Artist's Open Houses in October. It proved again, very popular and was very well received. Chislet Fair in June was great - and was packed out with people! For the first time, it was spread out over two days which brought even more people in.
Finally, the last exhibition of 2011 was 'Scrap'' at the Horsebridge in Whitstable. This was a lovely show and proved to be a very inspirational one for me as I was exhibiting a new range of work.
To cap it all off, I have moved house (mentioned on the right) so now I'm looking forward to a quiet Christmas and time to refuel before the new season kicks off and new work and new shows!
What's On The Way In 2012...
2011 was a great year for me and the next 12 months look set to be just as exciting and challenging! I will be producing new work, as well as the usual landscapes of course, I am planning on doing new canvas based work inspired by the art I produced for the 'Scrap' exhibition in November.
I am hoping to do two joint exhibitions next year, as well as more work for the Herne Bay Pier Trust. There will be the regular events such at group exhibitions with CT6 and fairs such as Chislet.

I Have Moved!
I haven't been able to produce any new work for a few weeks now as I have had to sort and pack for a house move. I am now living in the centre of Herne Bay, which means I am more centralized and able to participate a lot more in events and exhibitions in the town.
I am now only a five minute walk from the Bay Art Gallery!
With this new house - I will no doubt be positively inspired to produce new and exciting work for the new year.
