 Happy New Year from PATA Manzanillo! We want to send out an enormous thank you to everyone who has helped bring continued success and growth to the grassroots animal welfare organization. We had a banner year of expansion in 2009, culminating with more than 800 animals receiving spay/neuter surgeries at zero cost to their owners -- in both MASH-style clinic settings and intimate one-day mini clinics in low income neighborhoods -- pushing the total number of animals that have received free sterilizations to more than 1,900 in just 4 years.
Our next big clinic is Mar. 11-15 and we are kicking our fundraising into high gear.

Silent Auction

2nd ANNUAL CHARITY POKER TOURNAMENT  The silent auction wraps up on Wed. Feb. 3 with the fun and excitement of our 2nd annual charity poker tournament at Oasis Ocean Club in Club Santiago from 7 pm to 11 pm. Rules are no limit Texas hold 'em and the buy in is just 450 pesos and prizes include a vacation stay at Boca de Iguanas ecoresort, massage therapy, dinner for four.

Host a Vet for the March Clinic  As we have visiting vets and technicians who volunteer their time each March in our massive spay/neuter clinic, we desperately need animal lovers with spare rooms to open their homes and hearts to host. These volunteers pay their own airfare to come down and assist from dawn until dusk in our surgery room but need a comfortable place to lay their tired heads at night. PATA will provide most meals so it is simply a place to shower, unwind and sleep for these amazing volunteers.
