Functional Foods and Chronic Inflammation: Science and Practical Application

Functional Foods in Health and Disease ISSN: 2160-3855

The journal of Functional Foods in Health and Disease (FFHD) has become a primary resource for interactive discussion and publications, and promotes research within the scientific field of functional foods and bioactive compounds used for the prevention, management, and treatment of disease as well as a means of improving overall health. FFHD creates a platform for international authors to publish their research and view similar investigations. Our ultimate goal is to strengthen FFHD into a global revolution within the field of functional food research and development.

We have offered a special opportunity for our conference speakers to publish full articles on their lecture topic immediately following this event. Be sure to check back often for the addition of these new articles.

If you would like to submit an article to be published in our journal, please click here. The instructions for authors are available on our website and should be followed very carefully.

Academic Society for Functional Foods and Bioactive Compounds

Since 1998, Functional Food Center Inc. has been actively involved in research and development of functional foods and bioactive compounds through the publication of several books, articles, and our journal, Functional Foods in Health and Disease. Our community of authors, subscribers, advisors, and other affiliates has grown exponentially with time. In addition, we are honored to count members of governing agencies such as the National Institute of Health, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and other entities among our past and present conference participants.

In response to the growth of this field, we proudly introduce the Academic Society for Functional Foods and Bioactive Compounds (
ASFFBC). This society for medical doctors, scientists, dietitians, nutritionists, and other food and medical industry professionals will be strictly dedicated to the research and development of functional and medical foods, bioactive compounds, nutraceuticals, and the discovery of new ingredients and scientific techniques. A formal introduction and the first board meeting will take place at the 11th International Conference, however, we wanted to announce the birth of this new society to the readers and subscribers of FFHD even sooner.

This society will be led by Dr. Danik Martirosyan and the current members of the Scientific Advisory Panel for Functional Food Center. The purpose of this Academic Society will be to provide a central resource for members around the world to move forward with research and development, to educate the public on false advertising, and to promote the use of effective functional foods and bioactive compounds.

Membership will be offered to scientists, professors, and other academics for a fee of $199.  Subscribers to this newsletter will be offered a one time opportunity for a 12 month membership at no cost. In order to take advantage of this opportunity, please contact our editorial team at editor.ffhd@gmail.com within 7 days of receiving this newsletter, and include a copy of your CV along with your request. A complete list of membership benefits, qualifications and rates is available on our website. Click here for the full list.
