Academic Society of Functional Foods and Bioactive Compounds/ International Society of Functional, Medical and Bioactive Foods

This society was founded to build alliances between scientists, industry experts, and their peers from around the world in order to increase global awareness of functional and medical foods and improve the health and wellness of people worldwide. Due to the interest and unexpected opportunities that have arisen in the medical and nutrition industries since the initiation of this society, the board has collectively decided the current name no longer best describes our purpose. We would like to make this society more appealing and receptive to the inclusion of industry leaders from fields related to the research and development of functional foods and bioactive compounds. With this in mind, we would like to solicit suggestions from our readers on how we could better identify this society.

In our new name, we would like to convey our common focus of functional and medical foods, as well as bioactive compounds. We also want to emphasize the prestige and quality of our membership, and encourage the participation of qualified candidates. Please submit your suggestions by email to Dr. Danik Martirosyan at
ffc_usa@sbcglobal.net .
