The Boy Scouts of America is
in the process of a careful and deliberate review of our membership policy, as
it relates to national membership restriction regarding sexual orientation.
We are dedicated to the integrity of this process. In an effort to listen
to your perspective and concerns, we ask you to answer some questions
about this topic and about your overall Scouting experiences.

Yucca Express Information!
Popcorn Sneak Peak –
Trails End and the Yucca Council will hold a special “Sneak Peak” on next
fall’s popcorn sale on April 30 at 6:30 p.m., at the Holiday Inn at Sunland
Park (off of I-10). Unit leaders will receive a special invitation to
attend this event that will include dinner. For more information, please
Membership Update –
The council will hold a Spring Round-up to help reorganize units that need
grater support and new leadership. The council will again hold Tigermania
in April/May to recruit Kindergarten boys to join packs in time for Cub Scout
Day Camp. Units wishing to participate, especially in recruiting new
adult leadership, please contact your district executive.
District Committee Training – The council will
hold District Committee Training on Saturday, April 20 at the El Paso Community
College Westside campus in Canutillo. Registration will begin at 8:30
a.m. and training will run through 5 p.m. It is important that all
district committee members, commissioner staff, and chartered organization
representatives attend this training. COR will be offered at this
training. Registration forms will be mailed to all registered committee
members, commissioners, and CORS.
Board Retreat – The council will hold an
executive board retreat on April 19 and 20. All executive board members
and district committee counterparts are asked to participate. Vice chairs
of membership, program, finance, district chairs, etc. will participate in team
building and council/district strategic planning. Registration forms will be
