Have you registered? - State of the Bay September 27, 2017

Have you registered? We're pleased to announce that registration is open for the State of the Bay Conference to be held on September 27 in Bay City. This one day conference is your chance to learn about activities related to the restoration, conservation and protection of Saginaw Bay. In addition, you’ll learn about what communities around the Bay and throughout the watershed are doing to encourage public access, economic development, environmental education and watershed management. This is your opportunity to find out what is happening and network with people and groups doing this work through the 22-county Saginaw Bay watershed. The conference is sponsored by Saginaw Bay Watershed Initiative Network and is generously supported by The Cook Family Foundation

Also, don't forget to the sign up for the conference reception aboard the BaySail Appledore Schooners sponsored by The Conservation Fund and North Peak Brewing Company and Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales. Sign up early as seating aboard the Appledores is limited and filling quickly!

Covering nearly 8,700 square miles, the Saginaw Bay Watershed is Michigan’s largest and is home to 1.4 million people. All or part of 22 Michigan counties contribute to the watershed’s 7,000 miles of rivers and streams, which contain more than 90 species of fish. In addition to supplying habitat for wildlife, residents rely on the watershed for recreation, irrigation, electrical power generation, industrial processes, and drinking water. Coordinated by The Conservation FundSaginaw Bay WIN was created to enhance the quality of life in this region by providing technical support and grant funding to projects that support the environment, the economy, and our communities.
