by Ziggy Darweesh - CoFounder Fitness O2

2010…another New Year and new resolutions that we all make and probably break by the end of January!

One thing we should never break, and that’s staying positive no matter what. With that in mind, it’s easy to stay positive and focused on the good things, through exercising regularly. Make it part of your daily routine and lifestyle and see how all your other resolutions will look so much easier and simpler!

The weather is fantastic, so get out there and enjoy the fresh air while it lasts!  Buy some rollerblades, go bicycle riding, or just go jogging at the beach or local park…or better still, join a Bootcamp! :)

Just want to say Congratulations to all those who ran the Standard Chartered Marathon last Friday…fantastic effort guys!

For all you UFC fans, make sure you check out the photos at the Royce Gracie Seminar  last Friday, where everyone had the chance to talk and train up close to the legend himself.

We were very proud to launch ourMMA Reduced Size.jpg New MMA- fit Bootcamp on the day. Those of you that are looking for a more challenging workout, the New MMA- fit Bootcamp will insure you learn new conditioning and extra strength, intense techniques, in a fun and motivating environment!

Classes will start on February 15th every Monday and Wednesday, so look out for it!

We will keep you updated on the next Royce Gracie Seminar  during his next visit to Dubai  in a few months time.

For more photos and information on how it went, go to our Facebook fanpage or our website.

Finally, for those of youpalm-jumeirah.jpg who live on the Palm Jumeirah, we are happy to announce that we will be adding it to our already existing Renegade Bootcamp locations. We have responded to the many requests of the Palm residents for a Bootcamp in their area and will be starting from February 14th. So register  for your spot now!

We have also received tons of requests for Bootcamps in the Green Community and Arabian Ranches area. We are planning to start one as soon as we can, SO if anyone is interested in training in that area, then let us know and we can form a group so we can start a Bootcamp asap for our fans in that part of town!

That’s all for this month guys!

Have a Happy and Healthy February

Why Do Dieticians Like Strawberries?

Strawberries have more vit479px-Chandler_strawberries.jpgamin C than an orange. They are an excellent source of fiber and help maintain normal blood sugar levels.

“Very different to just working out at the Gym”

The Fitness O2 team has approached one of our new recruits, Reem Saleh for an interview, and she was kind enough to answer our questions.  She talks about her experience, advice, and what she liked about Fitness O2’s Renegade Bootcamp:

Name: Reem Saleh
Age: 24
Occupation: Environmental Engineer/Project manager

What made you decide to join Renegade Bootcamp?

When I moved back to Dubai, I was looking for something to get me out of the office and to meet people. A social workout.

How did you feel at your first session and how did you feel at the end of the 4 week course?

Everyone was really nice and welcoming. I was tired and sore after the first sessions, but at the end I felt a huge improvement. You could tell I had been working out. Very different to just working out at the gym.

What are your favorite exercises at Renegade Bootcamp?

My favorite is circuit training. I love the variety of exercises.

What would you tell someone who is thinking about joining Renegade Bootcamp?

Definitely do it. Don't be scared.

What is the best thing about Renegade Bootcamp?

The best thing is that every session is different. The trainers are also great.

How has participating Renegade Bootcamp changed your life?

Yes. I'm more fit and healthy and I also meet lots of people to socialize with!!

When will you be signing up for your next bootcamp course?

Next month!!!

Fitness Motivational Quotes

“Look at a day when you are supremely satisfied in the end. It’s not a day when you lounge around doing nothing. It’s when you’ve had everything to do, and you’ve done it!” – Margaret Thatcher
