Back to school! Yes, in the United States, the end of August and the beginning of September is the traditional time for students to go back to school. I love the excitement of preparing for classes, teachers, and friends. It is similar to how our Fellows make their final preparations for the Atlas Corps Fellowship.

September is an extra special month for Atlas Corps. We welcomed our first Class in September 2007. Now, we are preparing to welcome Atlas Corps Class 32 in September 2018. Wow! In just 11 years, we have connected more than 600 talented social change leaders from 89 countries to the opportunities provided by our Fellowship. Of course, it is about more than numbers. It is about the positive social impact that empowered individuals can inspire.

It is about Mosab (Sudan, Class 19, Host: Atlas Corps) who served in our Finance Department and then returned to Sudan to launch a financial consultancy firm in Khartoum and was just named a Finance Officer for the World Food Programme. In his words, “I become more confident and open minded because of the Fellowship. On top of that, I now have friends all over the word.” Congrats on multiplying impact with your Fellowship knowledge, Mosab!

Join me in celebrating Fellows like Mosab and welcoming Atlas Corps Class 32.  On September 20, our Fall Celebration will celebrate these incoming Fellows as well as our Fellows completing their year of service. Join us in DC on September 20. Details at bit.ly/AtlasCorpsFall2018!

Thanks for supporting Class 32, Mosab, and all of our Fellows!
