Summer Construction Underway

We currently have six houses under construction and will be working on those throughout July.  We had two very successful framing blitzes in June and are in the process of finishing these houses.  Any individual or group who would like to help us finish these houses along with the deserving homeowners, call Jennifer at 476-7171 or email jtidwell@habitatmobile.org

July Singles Build Date Set

Mark your calendars, singles!  Our July Singles Build will be on Saturday, July 11.  We have not decided on the site yet, but we will contact you with the site information after you register.  You must register by July 6 so that we can get an accurate lunch count.  When you register, please indicate which shift you want to work: morning, afternoon, or all day. 

Excitement at the ReStore!

Want to know where you can get the best home improvement items at the best price?  Want to get rid of some gently used appliances, furniture, or excess home improvement materials from your recent home remodeling project?  The answer to all these questions?  The Habitat ReStore Home Improvement Center!  July is going to be an exciting month for the ReStore because we will start to carry kitchen cabinets at a huge discount!  If you are redoing your kitchen, come see us first!  If you need appliances, flooring, sheetrock, doors, windows, or any other home improvement item, come see us first!

As always, dedications are our favorite part of the process!  These dedications are always special because we get to know the families so well and can celebrate with them as they receive the keys to their new homes!

Interfaith Build

In September, we will kick off our very first Interfaith Build!  Churches from all over Mobile County will come together to sponsor a house.  There are many different levels of sponsorship, so if your church is interested, there is something for you to do!  Click here for more information or contact Meredith Montgomery at 476-7171 or mmontgomery@habitatmobile.org

Homeowners Learn New Things

Have you ever wondered what happens at our monthly homeowner meetings?  Well, now is your chance to find out!  In June, the homeowners learned about hurricane preparedness, just in time for the 2009 hurricane season.  July is dedicated to fire safety.  One of Mobile's Finest Firefighters will discuss tips and techniques to avoid fires and ensure safety if a fire occurs.
