Events Around the Globe

Dear Friends,

As we start our new season, we are delighted to alert you to some noteworthy international events. We are particularly enthusiastic about our soon-to-open new exhibition "Surreal / Unreal" featuring over 100 paintings, drawings, prints, and sculptures from the 1930s to the present. The exhibition expands upon surrealism — its early years through the present day.

2016 has included a number of museum collaborations with our gallery and artists:

— Hans Burkhardt was featured in several museum exhibitions, including "The Art of Music" organized by the San Diego Museum of Art and Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City.

Our history-making exhibiton "Twin Visions: Joel-Peter Witkin & Jerome Witkin" was expanded and presented at the Museo Cuatro Caminos in Mexico City.

Having presented several formidable exhibitions of Claire Falkenstein's work, we were honored to assist the Guggenheim Museum in Venice, Italy in organizing "Homage to Claire Falkenstein" and also as lenders to her currently traveling museum retrospective.

Hans Burkhardt, Jerome and Joel-Peter Witkin, and Claire Falkenstein will be among the nearly 50 artists included in "Surreal / Unreal". We look forward to seeing you at the opening reception for this wide-ranging exhibition.
