4MILE@Bryant
4MILE (4-Year Multicultural and International Leadership Experience) supports incoming multicultural and international students through a network of peer mentors and advisors. First year students take part in team building, leadership skills development, and self-exploration activities facilitated by team leaders. It is a chance for an early orientation and adjustment period for both commuters and on-campus residents. Throughout the semester, students are part of a cluster and are mentored by current Bryant students.

Dream Project
The Dream Project is a student-initiated high school outreach program that connects CSU students with first-generation and low-income students in Fort Collins area high schools to assist in the college admissions process (including SAT prep, applications, writing essays, applying for financial aid, and finding scholarships). The program has a dual-focus: one, to give these college-bound high school students the assistance they may not receive at home or elsewhere; and two, to simultaneously teach CSU students about educational opportunity and social mobility and examine these ideas in the context of Colorado State University.

Mentoring Assistance Peer Program (MAPP)
MAPP is a freshman mentoring program that has served thousands of underrepresented Johns Hopkins students. Freshmen in the program are assigned an upperclassman who is dedicated to providing continual support. MAPP mentors are selected and trained to support students dealing with many first year experiences, including academics, career development, social connectivity, cultural exploration, and community involvement.

Peer Mentor Program
The NCSU Peer Mentor Program is designed to foster a network of support for first year students of African-American, Native American & Hispanic descent. Mentors serve as peer support personnel for these freshmen (Mentees) and share program goals and responsibilities aimed at ensuring the retention of these particular student groups. The objective is to aid in the academic, emotional and socio-cultural adjustment of these first year students and to actively involve upper-class students and faculty/staff in developing their maximum potential.

ALANA Mentoring Program
Through the ALANA &I (African, Latino, Asian, Native American and International) Mentoring Program, Quinnipiac University supports its historically underrepresented students in their transition from high school to college. The program pairs new students with current students and Quinnipiac staff/faculty members, providing them with additional support and resources. In so doing, the program provides students with a personal, direct link to the university community, helps them navigate their college experience, and helps students successfully complete their academic careers.

Peer Advisor Mentoring Program
Nationally recognized for "exemplary practice in achieving campus diversity," the Peer Advisor Program was established by the University of Virginia's Office of African-American Affairs in 1984. It assists Black first-year and entering transfer students with their college transition by providing personalized, sensitive support and counseling. In addition, the program offers a wide range of activities from orientation to workshops and seminars to academic recognitions. The Office of African-American Affairs assigns each entering Black student an upperclassman, a "Big Brother" or "Big Sister," and pairings are based on academic and extracurricular interests.
