As we enter our fifth year, we continue to partner with high schools that focus on empowering and enabling students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds to be agents of change in their schools and communities. Our students not only learn about the developing world, but gain deep insight into themselves and become strong leaders through after-school workshops and life-changing international study and service immersion. Through the experiences we provide, they are more equipped and inspired than ever to address the issues of their generation and improve their own lives and their community. Letter from the Founder
Dear Global Glimpse Friends and Family,
In 2007 I had a vision to change the world by educating and inspiring American youth to change their lives and the world. Five years later Global Glimpse has trained 740 high school student leaders starting with some of the most deprived schools and communities. Our growth has been remarkable and this past year alone we served 240 students and 24 teachers . Thank you for your continued support,
Alumni Take Action
My peers and I are creating an organization that will fundraise and collect donations to combat the poverty, resulting malnutrition, addiction and violence that plague the community. Our organization will have multiple chapters at various high schools. Our long-term goal is develop facilities within the community to provide food, education, and a hopeful future for the people living there.
My trip with Global Glimpse was the catalyst for this project; I am so grateful to the donors who graciously funded my trip, without you, I would know nothing about the struggles of Nicaragua. I thank you with all my heart for the extraordinary experience you gave me. Your donations supported me and the incredible organization that is Global Glimpse.

Director's Thoughts Global Glimpse has impressed me since I joined the organization three years ago as a coordinator in Nicaragua. This year is no different as I get comfortable in my role as the Director of the Scholar Program. This Fall we are adding six new schools to the partner school program and preparing the long waiting list of schools anxious to bring Global Glimpse to their students in the Fall of 2012. I see this increased demand as a testament to the spread of our strong reputation, built on the delivery of powerful and successful programs. We will serve 300 students at 24 schools and our dedicated volunteers will deliver 144 after-school workshops for the 2011-2012 academic year.
Due to the great demand of highly capable and passionate alumni who wish to support Global Glimpse to grow in their schools and communities, we have launched our Ambassador program that offers a vital and challenging internship for two nominted and accepted alumni at each partner school. The students are currently going through their final interview process and our team will have to make some difficult decisions.
Thank you for joining us on this journey,
