In December 2014, Forward Cities held its kick-off convening in New Orleans with business entrepreneurs, social innovators, national organizations, donors and leaders from Cleveland, Detroit and Durham, as well as their counterparts from New Orleans. Over 134 people came together to talk about inclusive innovation, regional economic development and collaboration, biotech research, education reform, urban farming, and neighborhood revitalization strategies, among other things.
