Hi Fellow Republican,
Our speaker is David Tschetter, the campaign manager for the top line Gubernatorial candidate Mike Kopp. He will give us a rundown on how Republicans will take back Colorado from the left-wing extremists who have been dominating the landscape for the last several cycles.
It appears every other state wide candidate is attending the Larry Mizel dinner that happens to be the same night as our regularly scheduled J-GOP meeting (Larry didn't consult with me before setting the date).
There is plenty in the news for the May 21st meeting and there is no doubt Benghazi will still be a hot topic (unless you are Hilary Clinton, then, "what difference does it make"). This election season is important and your help is needed by every campaign. There are some important dates coming up you may want to mark on your calendar if you have not already:
June 2 - Primary Ballots Mailed
June 24 - Primary Election Day
October 14 - Election Ballots Mailed
November 4 - Election Day
Next month, our June 18 meeting will feature Kelly Maher, the CEO of Compass Colorado (http://www.compasscolorado.org/), one of Colorado's most active grassroots political education organizations. Kelly has a great background in grassroots politics and since we have been visited by "trackers" in recent months she may have some great stories she can share.
Keep in mind, with the new election laws in Colorado, it is possible to "declare your intent" to move and vote anywhere in the State. Fraud is possible and likely with the desperate desire of Democrats to maintain power in the Colorado Legislature. We will be putting together a program to identify and prevent this from happening.
Bring your comments and questions to our meeting on Wednesday May 21. Bring a friend or two!
Sincerely,
Dan Kopelman
J-GOP interim President
