Sustainable Development is achievable
Working towards implementing partnerships worldwide

Dear Friend,

When the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted at the end of 2015, goal #17 stood out as it was not directly linked to a development area, but instead focused on the partnerships necessary to achieve the other 16 goals.
Collective Leadership Institute has been promoting the ideas behind SDG #17 for over a decade in our courses and projects. In this edition of our newsletter you can find out more about
Partnerships 2030 - Platform for Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (MAP), as well as our participation in conferences like the European Development Days in Brussels or the World Bank Leadership Forum in Washington.
Read about a good example of how building partnership is
linked to positive outcomes of other SDGs: At the Nebhana Water Forum in Tunisia,  a joint Water Charter has been signed between all stakeholders.

Enjoy reading and collaborating for a sustainable future!

Multi-actor partnerships (MAP) represent a broad collaboration of different actors in all sectors that enables each individual and institution to operate beyond their boundaries in a more fruitful and constructive way. They have demonstrated their potential to drive social change. As part of the German national sustainable development strategy, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) initiated in 2015 the creation of a national platform for MAPs to strengthen stakeholders’ capacity in collaboration and partnering for the SDGs. Find out more about this project at and find the official website here.
