#WorkerJustice

In Buffalo apparently, some 7-11 mini-mart stores have been setting some of their workers up for major shake downs and the workers are reaching out to the community for protection. These shake downs have taken the form of robberies and sexual assaults

As we write this, 7-11 workers are being negatively pressured for standing up for their rights by management. Take action, here's a link to the online petition to get guards, and two workers/ shift at all 7-Elevens.

Energy Democracy Committee Meeting

If you'd like to be a part of the growing community movement to put the power of how we decide our energy future back into our own hands - like the possibility of solar microgrids in our neighborhoods, join us at the next PUSH Buffalo ‪#‎EnergyDemocracy‬ committee meeting. The next one is Tuesday April, 28th at 6pm. We'll be meeting at 460 Massachusetts Ave in Buffalo.

If job creation in low income communities and environmental sustainability are issues that activate your sense of advocacy, come join us Friday, April 24th at Buffalo's historic Colored Musicians Club as we launch our Worker Cooperative "Friend-Raiser" Campaign!!!!

Share, learn and support what our neighborhood feels is the next step in holistic economic development. Its all about Environment, Economy and People, you cant impact one without the others.

Using placed-based strategies in workforce development and principles of environmental stewardship. PUSH Buffalo is pleased to introduce "COOPERATIVE ENERGY SOLUTIONS"! CES is a Worker Cooperative Committee that is "of the community and for the community" and determined to set the example in creating local business that produces local jobs! With a focus on Energy Efficiency and weatherization it also seeks to impact the health, safety and efficiency of homes and the affect of carbon emissions on our environment.

We are looking to muster as much political, financial and moral support as we can to help capitalize the launch and success of this democratically governed social enterprise. So we are putting on a Happy Hour style event of sharing and good times. Come and Learn more about us so that we can learn about you! You are sure to enjoy the night with other like minded individuals to better understand how you can be a part of this movement!!!!

We asking for a small contribution of $15 @ the door (bar will be available). Food and refreshments will be provided to curb those after work munchies! There will be live music hosted by Buffalo's very own The Historic Colored Musicians Club.

We'll see you all at the club on the 24th and thank you for helping to support the next step in High Road Economic Development in our area!!!!
