Message from Keith Gee
Executive Director
Keith GeeHello Friends,

I am so excited to be taking on the role of Executive Director for The Children's Hunger Project.  This is such a great organization and I am thrilled to be involved.

It is truly amazing to me that, for a volunteer-run organization, The Children's Hunger Project has been delivering weekly food packages to deserving children all over Brevard County for six years – AND HAVE NEVER MISSED A WEEK!  The commitment and dedication of our volunteers is astounding.

Certainly a large part of the success and stability of this organization has been because of the leadership of Bob Barnes.  Since the beginning, Bob has been a masterful marketer and promoter.  His tireless energy and passion for the mission of this organization has truly made Brevard County a better place to live.  No, Bob is not leaving our organization so you will see him still working on our behalf.

Are you part of the "Brevard 100"?

Soon you will see in FLORIDA TODAY or hear on iHeartMedia radio stations, information about joining the Brevard 100.  The Brevard 100 are the 100 civic groups, individuals, corporations and religious congregations that demonstrate their willingness to help hungry children in Brevard County by being a sponsor of the Health First Fight Child Hunger 5K - Run, Walk and Wheels.  This unique event will take place on Saturday, January 14 at Viera Hospital and is open to everyone.

Are you part of the Brevard 100?  Click here for more information.

Please join us for the 2016 Ladder Climb at the Palm Bay Walmart on Saturday, October 1 from 9-2PM.  This fun, family-friendly event will help bring awareness in our county to fire prevention as well as child hunger.  We are proud to partner with Walmart and the Palm Bay Fire Department for this great event.

Have you considered leaving The Children's Hunger Project in your will or estate plans?  We suggest that you consult with an attorney to make sure you are creating a lasting legacy.

Thank you to everyone who has helped The Children's Hunger Project in the past.  Because of you we are now serving food to more than 1500 local children each week.

All my best,

Keith Gee
Executive Director

SHARE OUR STORY
The Children's Hunger Project is a nonprofit charity providing
packages of weekend food for kids who teachers know are
coming to school hungry on Monday mornings.

Schools provide a free breakfast and a healthy lunch.
But many children who are eligible for a free lunch at
school go hungry on weekends.

$150 a year (or $12.50 monthly) provides a weekend
food package for one child during the entire school year.
Smaller donations gladly accepted.
Our food donation list can be found on our website.
