Child Foundation Newsletter
Changing the face of the future, one child at a time.
Dear friends of Child Foundation,
As I am getting ready to attend the United Nations Association Conference in Washington DC, many meetings have been scheduled with community leaders, legislators, and the US State Department. Upon my return, I will report to you on the details.
Summer is just a few short weeks away, and many are planning for their summer vacations, but we are in preparation for our fall activities and the start of school. This year, we will try to help more children go to school, and with your help, I am sure we can. I will keep you updated about our upcoming plans.
Last week, we were informed about a young boy named Aghil, who had to give up school because he was forced to live with his parents in a tent on the outskirts of the city of Darab...
1000 Food Baskets for 1000 Families
For the past several years, one of our most popular programs around this time of year remains what we affectionately refer to as "One Thousand Baskets for One Thousand Families". Last year, we collected enough donations to help more than eight hundred families.
The program is usually initiated just before the start of the month of Ramadan, which is the traditional month of fasting, but also of genuine selflessness and display of charity to others. Child Foundation is not a religious organization. Nor does it ever get involved with projects like this on religious or ideological grounds. What we are doing is providing the most basic of necessities (in this case, food) for families with children at a time of year when this need is probably the highest, and pressure simply too much to bear alone.

Happy Birthday, Alireza!
Mohammad from Maryland decided to make Alireza's birthday very special this year. So, he ordered a bicycle for him and Child Foundation was able to deliver this gift to Alireza who lives in Shiraz.
Alireza is a very good student, despite that he has been through a lot in his life, he takes his schooling very seriously.
Many thanks to Mohammad for bringing Happiness to Alireza's life.
The mission of Child Foundation is to help children in need, who have been identified as high achievers to remain in school. We believe that education can move a child beyond the stigma of poverty and give that child the tools to reach his or her true and full potential. Since our inception in 1994, Child Foundation has provided basic necessities to children living in poverty or hardship, enhancing the quality of life for these children as well as their respective families. By providing access to education, Child Foundation hopes to eliminate children prematurely leaving school, and in certain cases, avoid early matrimony.
