The 2012 Building Homes for Heroes and Lone Sailor Memorial Project 5K is the third annual charity 5K sponsored by the Central Florida Navy League. Last year we raised more than $26,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project and Lone Sailor Memorial Project of Central Florida.

About the Charities

bh4h 2Building Homes for Heroes

This year, we are shifting focus to an amazing local charity, Building Homes for Heroes. BH4H helps our severely wounded and disabled veterans and their families rebuild their lives. They are committed to supporting those who have returned home from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan with severe wounds and disabilities, with a goal to build homes for military families in dire need.
The Lone Sailor Memorial Project

lonesailor 2
The Navy League of the United States - Central Florida Council is raising funds to donate a patriotic Lone Sailor Statue to the City of Orlando to demonstrate gratitude to those who served at the Naval Training Center of Orlando for over three decades. The monument of the Lone Sailor will serve as a reminder of the legacy of the Navy’s presence in Central Florida, as well as an inspiration to those who are currently serving and will serve in the United States Navy.
