Call for expert comment on the new 2050 Global Calculator tool

EMBARQ has helped to model global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from the transport sector up to the year 2050 as part of the 2050 Global Calculator tool. The newly launched interactive Global Calculator aims to be the most open-source model of the world’s energy, land, and food systems. The tool, which is currently open to the public in draft format, is designed to help policymakers understand how we can meet the world’s food and energy needs while minimizing contributions to global climate change.

EMBARQ Turkey helping to lead national road safety movement

As part of what’s been dubbed the “RS10” initiative, EMBARQ Turkey is implementing a series of Road Safety Laboratory (RSLab) projects in five Turkish cities, with the goal to raise awareness of road safety issues, build capacity to reduce traffic crashes, analyze accident-prone areas, and provide lifesaving interventions. Based on its leadership improving road safety in Turkey, EMBARQ Turkey was appointed Coordinator for Urban Planning and Transport on Turkey’s Traffic Safety Platform. In this role, EMBARQ Turkey is helping advance Prime Minister R. Tayyip Erdoğan’s plan to reduce traffic fatalities by 50% by 2020.
