Risk + Failure = Growth: Developing The Resilient Learner and Educator

PNAIS is accepting proposals to fill thirty, one-hour breakout sessions.  Take a risk! Presenting a breakout session can be a tremendous growth experience.  Seize the opportunity to highlight an area of expertise that exemplifies the conference theme: Risk + Failure = Growth: Developing The Resilient Learner and Educator.

Proposals that address new and timely issues in education, curricula development, and best practices in teaching will be considered in the traditional formats of:

• Interactive presentations
• Facilitated discussions
• Workshops

• Facilitated TedTalks: Each year, the world's leading thinkers and doers gather to share big ideas.  The talks are posted online (www.ted.com)  and are free to view and use.   In this model, people would lead a breakout based on a TedTalk. The role of the presenter would be to facilitate conversations based on the content.  This is an excellent way for new presenters to take a risk and lead a session for colleagues!
• Case Studies: You are also invited to present a case study that demonstrates a risk and maybe even a failure, and how you, your school, or your students used this experience as a growth opportunity.
