Dear Friend,

I am writing to inform you of the publication of an article by Spencer Amdur, the Arthur J. Liman Fellow at the Lawyers’ Committee, entitled "How Local Governments Are Hacking Immigration Reform" in The Atlantic magazine.

In the article, Spencer describes how state and local governments are increasingly refusing to take part in federal deportation policy based on a number of civil rights and public safety concerns. As a result, this new local resistance is reducing deportations and forcing federal authorities to reconsider their enforcement priorities.

We hope you find this piece insightful and we welcome your feedback by reply to this email.

As always, thank you for your support of the Lawyers’ Committee.

Keep on,
