Opening of Turkish Hall Gallery Exhibit
Life in Istanbul ~ Village of Millions debuts Friday, Sept. 1, with free admission all day (11 - 9 pm).  A Turkish Pop-up Market from 11 - 6 pm will feature Turkish rugs, carpets, handbags, tapestries, scarves, and jewelry.  The exhibit will showcase the vibrant and colorful paintings of Gabrielle “Gabby” Reeves, a native of Casper, Wyoming, who moved to Istanbul in 2011.  

LIVE MUSIC, 6-8 pm, on the GVM patio by Crispy Watkins & River bring the sweet Appalachia music to the Rockies with harmonies and rhythmic original mountain tunes.

Story Time 2

FREE Storytime on Saturday, Sept 2, 11 am to noon
FREE Storytime the first Saturday of every month from 11 am to noon.  Join our talented storyteller Kay for an exciting and dynamic hour of imagination and creativity.  Books, a fun activity, and a yummy snack will delight youth ages 3-10.  Two parents and/or guardians are admitted free with each child to have fun in the Museum’s four galleries and Museum Shop.

GVM will celebrate Grandparents Day Sept 9
Grandparents celebrate your day on Sept 9th at GVM.  Admission will be $3 for Grandparents and Youth are FREE.

Monks’ Sacred Art Tour Sept 26 - Oct 1
GVM is hosting eight Tibetan Buddhist monks from the Drepung Gomang Monastery in India the last week in September.  The monks will create a World Peace Sand Mandala in the lobby as well as share their Tibetan culture and traditions.  The visit is part of the monks’ nationwide 2017 Sacred Art Tour.

Cultural Pagent
Culminating the monks' visit will be a Spectacular Cultural Pageant at the Fort Collins Senior Center from 3-5 pm on Sunday, Oct. 1.  Festivities will include the monks in costume performing traditional dances, music, and chants.  Tickets are $10/person and may be purchased at GVM or the Fort Collins Senior Center.
