Dear Member,

Our November chapter meeting was the last of the year (in December we meet, but only to party!) Looking back over 2018, NCWCA has welcomed many new members, met so many of the goals set at the beginning of the year, and speaking for myself, has been a bright spot of community and creativity in dark times. In the spirit of the season, I’m thankful for NCWCA-- this powerful group of women-- and I look forward to seeing what the rest of 2018 brings!

In gratitude,

Sawyer Rose
President

The inspiring NCWCA sign hung behind the bar serving refreshments.
Ten stations were set, each with their very own Bay Area Art Star.
The gracious mentors lent their stories, expertise and advice to a room filled with curious minds.
An ambitious group devoured three hours in the blink of an eye.
Ten-minute speed sessions were conducted simultaneously as participants awaited the signal to move on to the next round.
Each mentor squeezed years of knowledge into minutes of speech and questions.
Information, life, wisdom buzzed from every corner of the room.
Eyes and ears ingesting and feeding minds.
The night was a success.

Attendees were as excited as the mentors.
NCWCA has inspired the continuation of this motivational spread of insight by passing along the tools for it to be conducted at the WCA National Conference in Manhattan.
The YWC will be hosting a mini mentor speed-dating workshop during the conference in hopes to have September 2018’s Bay Area Art Stars be the first of many chapter-wide.
